‘Tenet’ Torrent Download Could Empty Your Bank Account

Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated sci-fi film “Tenet” debuted this week. It’s no surprise that the film is a top lookup on Google and other torrent sites.

Tenet was released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital services on December 15, 2020. Tenet was added to HBO Max on May 1, 2021.

The blockbuster film has created an internet storm with torrent file uploaders profiting from it by tricking people into downloading fake torrents.

If you’re interested in downloading the film, however, we have to inform you that there isn’t an authentic Tenet torrent in the present. Sites and torrent websites are overflowing with fake torrents that pirate the film.

If you look on Pirate Bay for the Tenet movie, you’ll come across hundreds of torrent links for fake pirated Tenet films. There’s a good chance that some of these fake torrents might drop malware on your device, and then lure you to enter your bank account information.

For example, the guys from The Torrent Freak attempted to download the Tenet torrent on Pirate Bay and ended up with a 700MB size file. The file contained a static image and asked users to read the ReadMe file, and then install the necessary codec in order to view the film.

The information in the ReadMe file pointed users to a suspect website that required credit card information to be used for “verification purposes”. It was clear that uploaders were attempting to trick them.

Top-rated torrent websites are aware of the threat that piracy Tenet might unleash. In the course of implementing measures to combat it, the acclaim of the film by Nolan could cause people who are not experienced customers to use fake torrents which could drain money from their accounts.

However, we don’t support the practice of piracy and advise our viewers to attend to the theater’s release or wait until it’s accessible on or on an OTT platform.
