Windows users are often faced with the error code 23011 whenever they attempt to play a video on their browser using the embedded JW player.
The error code is “A declaration request made without matching cross-domain credentials” and typically is caused by a technical issue.
It turns out that one of the main reasons for this issue is a type of error that is located in the browser cache or the cookies folder you’re using. Remember that there are a variety of problems that may result from corrupted temporary files left on the table by the JW Player. Error Code 23011 is just one of them.
Luckily, the affected users found that the issue can be resolved quickly by checking the settings in your browser and clearing cookies and cache. But, depending on the browser you’re using the steps you need to take will differ.
To assist you in this issue, we’ve developed an instruction guide with five different sub-tutorials that will help you clear your cache as well as cookies from the top 5 web browsers (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer).
Once you’ve succeeded in clearing your browser cookie and cache, re-start it, and do the previous procedure that caused the issue. If that the identical Error Code 23011 continues to occur you can go to the next possible solution section.
Method #2 Delete the VPN or proxy services
According to some users, connections that bridge through the JW player might be interrupted with error code 23011 due to the fact that your network is using a VPN or proxy connection which the webserver is not a fan of.
Users who experienced similar issues confirmed that they had solved the issue by removing the proxy server and VPN connectivity, or completely disabling the VPN at the system level. VPN.
To be able to accommodate the two scenarios, we have created two distinct sub-guides that allow you to either disable your proxy server (sub-guide A) or uninstall the VPN client (sub-guide B).
A. Turn off proxy servers
2. When you’re on the Internet Properties tab then go to the Connections tab in the horizontal menu that is at the top. Then go ahead and select Local Area Network Settings (under Local Area Network LAN settings).
3. Within the Settings menu of Local Area Network (LAN), go to the category for Proxy Servers. Uncheck the box that indicates you are using proxy servers for your local area network.
4. Once you have successfully deactivated your Proxy server, reboot your PC and check whether the issue was solved when the computer restarts after repeating the previous step that caused the Code error code 2301.
B. Delete the VPN client
1. You can open the Run dialog box by pressing Windows key + R. After that enter appwiz.cpl and press Enter to display the Programs and Features screen. If you are asked to do so by UAC (User Account Control) you must click Yes to allow administrator privileges.
2. In the Features and Programs screen go through the complete list of installed applications and look for the system-level VPN. If you spot it, right-click it and select Uninstall in the context menu that opens.
3. Follow the prompts on-screen to finish the uninstall process Then, restart your computer to see whether the issue gets resolved when the next boot is completed.
Method #3 disable Private Badger or other extensions or add-ons
According to certain Firefox as well as Google Chrome users, this problem could be caused through extensions (on Chrome) or an add-on (in Firefox). According to research, Privacy Badger, along with other extensions or add-ons disrupt JWPlayer and stop streaming videos.
It is generally accepted that VPN or proxy components as well as certain protection extensions such as Malwarebytes are commonly blamed for this problem. However, it is possible that there could be additional issues that we haven’t yet covered however it’s up to you to conduct your own research and test.

Stop Chrome extensions
1. If you are using the Google Chrome browser, go ahead and hit the” action button” (top right-hand corner of your screen).
2. Once you’re in the menu for tasks, select More Tools > Extensions and then click your Google Chrome extensions tab.
3. When you’re in your Extensions tab, go through to the entire list of extensions installed and locate the extension you’d like to delete.
4. If you locate it, click the google that is associated with the extension in question to remove it.
5. After the extension has been removed, you can restart Google Chrome and check whether the issue has been resolved.
Method #4. Try another browser (if there is one available)
If you’re using a less well-known browser, you might want to consider a different browser.
Although the JW Player is theoretically compatible with all browsers in the market there are a number of issues that have been reported for lesser-known browsers that do not use Chromium (e.g. Internet Explorer & Edge ).
If you’re ready to switch the browser you’re using, think about making the switch towards Chrome, Opera, or Brave and check if error code 23011 has been fixed.
